ORDER—CHIROPTERA
FAMILY—Rhinolophidae

COMMON NAME—Enormous-eared horseshoe bat.

DISTRIBUTION—
Borneo and the Philippines to Australia (Tate, 1943); Philippine records from Luzon [Abra Province (SMF)], Mindanao [Zamboanga del Norte (FMNH) and Zamboanga del Sur (UPLB) provinces], Mindoro, Negros (FMNH), and Siquijor (FMNH), .

HABITAT—Recorded in primary and secondary forest from 200 m to 1500 m ( Lepiten, 1995; Ruedas et al., 1994; Heaney, unpubl. data).

STATUS—
Uncertain, but apparently uncommon. Captured only in forest.
