ORDER—CHIROPTERA
FAMILY—Vespertilionidae

COMMON NAME—

DISTRIBUTION—Indochina, Borneo. First Philippine record reported from Palawan by Esselstyn et al (2004), based on a single specimen.

HABITAT—Secondary lowland forest-grassland mosaic at 40 m on Palawan (Esselstyn et al., 2004).

COMMENT––Koopman and Danforth (1984) recognized Bornean specimens as this species, but Corbet and Hill (1992) referred them to
M. suilla. Further specimens are needed for study.
