ORDER—RODENTIA
FAMILY—Muridae

COMMON NAME—Dusky moss mouse, Mindanao dusky rat.

DISTRIBUTION—
Known only from the highlands of Mindanao (Bukidnon [FMNH], Davao del Sur [FMNH], Misamis Occidental [SU], Misamis Oriental [FMNH], and Zamboanga del Norte [UPLB] provinces).

HABITAT—
From 1550 m to 2400 m in montane and mossy forest (Musser and Heaney, 1992).

STATUS—
Moderately common in high-elevation forest.
