Bulletin

Although one person can definitely spark the beginning of change, in many cases it takes an entire community to actually see it through. Someone may think, "I wish there were more green spaces preserved in my town." Without the help, support, and guidance of others who think the same way, it is hard to get people to listen. This Bulletin highlights students, just like you, who saw the need for change in the way their local environments were used. Some of the projects may involve spaces that are not as large as a national park or preserve, but it is important to remember that no place is too small to protect.

If your community or school has developed a conservation program, be proud of your work and share your ideas! Email your project to fieldexpeditions@fieldmuseum.org, and we will post it on this site.
